This was taken from the TEA Party:

Request from Ohio Representatives
Following is a copy of letter issued to the Ohio Attorney General, from eight of our Ohio Representatives:

March 23,2010
The Honorable Richard Cordray
Attorney General
State of Ohio
30 East Broad Street
17fr Floor
Columbus, Ohio 432L5

Dear Mr, Attomey General:

As you know, attorneys general from more than a dozen states have announced plans to file suit in federal court to prevent implementation of H.R. 3590, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which President Obama signed into law today.

Among the provisions of H.R. 3590 is a requirement ttrat all Americans purchase health insurance either through their employers or individually. Failure to comply with this "individual mandate" can result in a prison sentence and a monetary penalty of up to 2.5 percent of a person's income.

The Constitution of the United States limits and enumerates the powers granted to Congress. On a bipartisan basis, many of our colleagues question the constitutionality of requiring anyone to purchase any good or service as a condition of citizenship. We fail to see how the Congress's power to regulate interstate commerce can be interpreted to regulate the non-commercial action of failing to purchase health insurance.

We ask that you review the legality of this unconstitutional and unprecedented federal mandate contained in H.R. 3590 and join your fellow attorneys general to protect the constitutional rights of all Ohioans.

Thank you for your consideration of this request. We look forward to hearing from you on this matter.

Jim Jordan (4th District)
John Boehner (8th District)
Steve C. LaTourette (14th District)
Robert E. Latta (5th District)
Patrick J. Tiberi (12 District)
Michael R. Turner (3rd District)
Jean Schmidt (2 District)
Steve Austria (7th District)

We are in the process of formulating an online petition to follow up on this request. We will be distributing it before the end of the week.

NEW STEVE CHRISTOPHER INFORMATION‏
From: Tom Zawistowski
We are at a critical point in which you personally can make a big difference in helping us win this fight. In our conference call this morning with the Steve Christopher Campaign, we were told that Steve will file an appeal of the Secretary of State's ruling with the Ohio Supreme Court perhaps as early as Friday. It is the only option available to him because the Secretary of State's office is sticking to it's story that the receipt for 2,750 signature means nothing and that Steve drove all the way to Columbus to hand-in only 700 ballots, when he needed 1,000, which makes no sense.

The good news is that this will be a very quick process because they have to print the ballots for the Primary Election and so the issue has to be decided in time to get that done. So, here is my understanding of how it will work. Within 3 days of filing the appeal, both sides have to file their court briefs with the Supreme Court and then the Court will rule on the case within 5 days. So, the entire issue will be decided in about two weeks.

That is the good news. The bad news is that, in my personal opinion, the entire Ohio Supreme Court is filled with Republican Judges who owe their position to the Ohio Republican Party and to the DeWine family. Since, Steve Christopher is the TEA Party Candidate who has stepped up to oppose Mike DeWine in the Primary for Attorney General, it is my opinion that those Justices will be getting phone calls suggesting that they rule against Steve Christopher.

So, here is he deal. We have a good case. I have personally seen the receipt, I have seen the signed petitions, I have personally verified the signatures in four counties and I know others have personally verified them in 36 other counties. We have copies of the petitions. We have group leaders like myself whose people signed the petitions we submitted and we can testify that we sent them to Steve. The question is "Will we get a fair trial? "

In my opinion, the only way we get a fair trial is if the Ohio Supreme Court knows that the media and the public are watching. That means we have only a few days to get the media involved. It is our belief the Fox News is ready to take the story nationally if they get just a little bit more demand for the story from the public. I am personally asking you to call the numbers below and ask them if Fox News is going to investigate the election irregularities in Ohio concerning the Attorney General Race between Steve Christopher and Mike DeWine. You must do this today and you must send this to others in your group and around the state and country who will also call and send emails. Many of us will be able to tell fox that our group gathered signatures and turned them in and they never arrived in our local county Board of Elections for verification. Others can simply say, they signed the petition personally and the Board of Elections has no record of it from the Secretary of State’s Office. It's a simple call and I am asking you to make it now.

I will close with this very serious observation. If I can not tell my 600+ members that all we have to do is work within the process to take back our country, that we can find good people to run and we can get them on the ballot by following the rules, that, if we work hard enough, we can get new people elected who support our views and values, what can I tell them? If the powers that be exclude us from the ballot our only choice is to use our second amendment rights to get our country back. None of us wants that. We MUST win this case and get Steve Christopher on the ballot to prove that the system does work - no matter how poorly. I call upon you as a true Patriot to do everything in your power to help us defend the Constitution, right here, right now, and help us prove the system works. Losing is not an option when the very fate of the Nation is at stake.

Sincerely,

Tom Zawistowski

1. Visit one of Steve Christopher’s sites below, and enter your testimony about signing the petition or collecting signatures
2. Donate a few dollars – thousands have already been raised but thousands more will be needed to pay to take this to the Ohio Supreme Court
3. Volunteer, of course
4. Get on the eMail list so that Steve can keep you informed.
