OMG, Can you believe the Audacity of this commentary? http://otherwords.org/making-the-tax-code-safe-for-americas-aristoc...
The only way to fight stupidity like this is to make the tax code a non issue by passing the FairTax.
What if the only tax you pay the federal government
is one you don’t have to calculate or report?
Only the FairTax:

Fairborn had its first meeting of the year Jan 16th. It was a great way to start out the year. A good size group and some new faces greeted our state director Steve Curtis. We had a some good conversation and food and look forward to an active year.
Hopefully, we can reboot interest on this site and get moving forward.
Looking forward to doing a lot of great things for the FairTax this year.
I have not been on FairTaxNation for several months and now I can't find the Dayton Mall Group. We had our meeting the first Wednesday of the month, 1/2/13. Steve Curtis was there and gave us a pep talk, tell us that Congress is doing tax reform soon. If you know anyone on the Ways & Means Committee please try to get in touch with them and insist that FairTax HR-25 be considered. We need their help and your help. Thanks.
Copied from new member Lisa Chambers:
1) A bill implementing tax reform will be introduced in the House of Representatives by April 30, 2013. (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/112/hr6169 )
Which type of tax reform do you prefer? (choose one)
___ An income tax with two payment levels, 10% and 25%
___ Replace the income tax with a consumption tax, such as the FairTax
___ A tax system that combines an income tax and a consumption tax
2) Call or e-mail your members of Congress and tell them which type of tax reform you prefer. (Find contact information here: http://www.congress.org/congressorg/directory/congdir.tt )
3) Send this e-mail to everyone in your contact list. Tax reform is not a Republican issue or a Democrat issue, but a government control issue. The government needs to hear from We the People – in both parties -- on the issue of tax reform. We the People still run this country! Tell your elected officials what you think about tax reform so they will know how to vote on this issue next year.
Did anyone go to Troy last night to see C.L. Bryant? Was it worth the trip?

The Romney campaign is calling this trip the “Every Town Counts” bus tour. It will start Friday in New Hampshire, then swing through Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan.
Romney will begin Sunday’s Father’s Day swing through Ohio at a pancake breakfast in Brunswick, about 25 miles southwest of Cleveland. In the afternoon, his bus will stop in Newark, 35 miles east of Columbus.
The Troy stop will be at K’s Hamburger Shop, a longtime Troy landmark at 117 E. Main St., according to Romney Ohio spokesman Chris Maloney. The event will be in the early evening, but no firm time is listed, as Troy will be Romney’s third Ohio stop of the day.
If you have FairTax gear, please wear it to this event. Romney needs to understand we want FairTax.
