I encourage all who have an opportunity to attend the candidate nights and use them to "hold their feet to the fire". Every candidate should be asked about the FairTax, whether they know anything about it, and whether or not they will support/sponsor it as part of their office responsibility (appropriate to the office of course.)

Now is the time to really make an impact, and "force" candidates to incorporate the FairTax into the platform, or face the wrath of voters who have had enough with "business as usual".

And remember, if you ask the question, anyone in the audience who doesn't know about the FairTax will start asking questions of their own, either at the event or later.

Cynthia (CJ) Bieghler is running for Republican State Central Committee in District 10 (Clark, Greene, and Madison counties). She is a strong and committed believer in the principles of liberty that have made America strong and vibrant, yet are under attack by the unprincipled moderate and liberal establishment. Cynthia supports strict adherence to the U.S. Constitution and the Constitution of Ohio, although she feels the state Constitution has been modified far too often for narrow special interests rather than the interests of the people of Ohio. She is a member of the National Rifle Association and a staunch defender of the 2nd Amendment and will work to stop any infringements of it. Cynthia's belief in the 10th Amendment and states' rights has pushed her strong support of the Ohio Sovereignty Amendment and she is a believer in stopping Federal mandates from being shoved down the people of Ohio's throats. As a member of the Republican State Central Committee, Cynthia will work to recruit candidates who support reducing the size of government to Constitutional limits, both in Washington and Columbus. She will ensure that the voices of small business owners, farmers, families, and senior citizens are heard to end the support of establishment candidates who have shown their willingness to raise our taxes, increase costly regulations on businesses, and burden schools with massive unfunded mandates. Cynthia was born in Greene County at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, grew up in a conservative military family, and married an Air Force member. From this experience, she has developed a deep understanding and appreciation for the men and women who serve to protect our nation and she fervently supports a strong national defense. Cynthia is a proud member of the Dayton Tea Party and believes in its four pillars: Respect for the Constitution, smaller government, fiscal responsibility, and support for free markets. Anyone interested in learning more about Cynthia, or CJ as she is known to her friends, can contact her at (937) 559-2245 or email her at CJBieghler@aol.com.

I'd go ahead and start with the local Dayton Tea Party. The problem/strength of the Tea Party movement is that it isn't really one group, it's lots of smaller groups working together. Hope that helps.

Steve Christopher reported to have over 3000 signatures this morning!

Charles Miller is not quite in the save zone yet. If you do have signatures for him please try to get them to him.

Report is that Steve Christopher got over 1500 signatures but only needed 1000. (There are always some they kick out so they are assuming that at least 2/3 of them are good.) Today is the deadline so we should know positive shortly I would think. Here is a link to Steve Christopher's (daughter's) Facebook page.
