"Meet the Candidate Night" for Ohio's 15th US Congressional District is being held by a local 912 Group. Although we do not get our own table for literature, they will allow us space on their table.
I have submitted a FairTax question for the candidates to answer.
This is a wonderful opportunity to overwhelm the candidates with the local & OH FairTax following! Please show & wear your FairTax gear!

Date: February 23rd
Time: 7pm
Location: Dublin Recreation Center
5600 Post Road
Dublin, OH 43017

If there are any registered Repulicans out there, here is a link to your State Central Committee elected representatives.

http://www.ohiogop.org/state_committee

You have one elected representative to the County Party from your precinct/ward and one man & one woman to the State Party per State Senate District.

To run for a County precinct/ward position, you can obtain a candidacy notice from your county's Board of Elections. Most do not require signatures.
To run for a State Committee seat, you have to obtain signatures (ususally between 5-15). BOTH are due no later than 4pm on February 18th. STRATIGALLY, don't turn it in prior to 3:45 on February 18th, if you are running un-opposed.
Precinct/ward petition is due to your county Board of Elections, while the State Committee petition has to be turned in to the Board of Elections in your most populous county (if there is more than one County in your State Senate District). GO FOR IT!

I agree, but we need to not lose sight of the fact that while we may be most passionate about the FairTax, to others its an important, but secondary, issue. Many Tea Party folks like the FairTax, but, for them, things like Constitutionality, spending reductions, or less government control are more important.

We can't make them love the FairTax, but what we can, and should, do it show them how the FairTax ties into their agenda. Want to control spending? The FairTax helps educate the public as to the cost of government, making them more likely to support spending cuts. Want less government control? Getting rid of the IRS is a fine place to start.

As Ballester said, "Give people what they want, and they will give you what you want." Show others how the FairTax allows them to achieve their goals, and they'll help us achieve ours.

I wonder how many heard the speech? I agree with Lonnie. We need to push FairTax every chance we get.

I would have thought this thing would be buzz'en after GOV. Palin speech at the national tea party meeting? Palin fired up the people last night and thats good. We had the spotlight last night but I would have liked to of heard more about gettig rid of the IRS and about how the fairtax will help our country. This is a grassroots movement by the people for people. Its not a party movement. So lets not lose sight of that. Because if there's a democrat, republican or and independent that will support the US constitution and the fairtax movement then that person will have my ear. Am I right or wrong?
