RE: Free Market Health Care Reform Summit.
This event is now posted on the Dayton Convention Center website. Time has been settled as 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. As speakers firmly commit, I'll keep you posted. This event offers and opportunity to learn about approaches to solving the health care cost problem that you may not have considered.

For those of you in NE Ohio....

Greetings,

This coming Saturday, October 10 we will be hosting our public forum breakfast at 8:30 AM at the Golden Corral in Medina. We are focusing on the November ballot issues and candidates.

Guest speakers will be informing us about ballot issues #2 and #3. In addition we will be offering those in attendance the opportunity to spend up to 3 minutes to tell us about themselves if they are a candidate, or to tell us what they know about one (or more) of the candidates. The meeting will be an excellent way to get informed in preparation for the November general election.

We encourage you to call the candidates in your area and find out about them; their background, values and goals, if they are elected. Feel free to invite them to come to our breakfast on the 10th or the 24th of October to meet you or talk to our group face-to-face.

Please check the events calendar at http://www.meetup.com/The-Medina-We-Surround-Them/calendar/ and/or the home page http://www.ohiofan.org on our website; the Ohio Christian Alliance Fall Freedom Banquet is on October 15, the Buckeye Firearms Association's Buckeye Bash in on October October 17. These are great events you won't want to miss.

We will be manning a MCFAN table at the Medina County Gun Show this Saturday and Sunday.

We are watching the action intently in the U.S. Senate. We encourage you to continue contacting Senators Voinevich and Brown to express your views on Nationalized Health Care and even more importantly, on the unacceptable tactics being employed to prevent public review and comment on this dramatic legislation.

Did anyone else see this? I missed it live, but found it on HuckPAC.

Gov. Huckabee explains the FairTax better and more concisely and accurately than anyone I've ever heard!

It's obvious that Mike Huckabee understands how the FairTax could and should work and that we need to eliminate the 16th Amendment at the same time that it's passed!

Greetings,

This coming Saturday is the 4th Saturday of the month, and we will be hosting our usual public forum breakfast at the Golden Corral. State Representative Dave Hall will be our Guest Speaker, with an update on what is happening in our state capital. We also plan to request input from our attendees about Guest Speakers they would like to hear in the future, what committees or volunteer opportunities they would like to see be made available, and objectives they would like to see us accomplish in the coming year. The meeting begins at 8:30 and the cost of breakfast will be $8, with discounts for kids and seniors.

Speaking of "year", on Sunday the 27th we will be celebrating the 1st Anniversary of MCFAN. We decided to create MCFAN on September 3, 2008 and held our first breakfast meeting on September 27, 2009. When we started this up, we were all alone. Now there are hundreds of us and there are conservative grassroots organizations in every county around us, many of which we have had the privilege of helping get started. We feel blessed, and could not have done it without your support.

Our celebration will be a potluck picnic at the Lester Rail Trail from 3-6 pm. It will be a great family fun day and everybody will love the miniature train rides. We encourage everyone to bring their whole family, friends, neighbors and co-workers, and celebrate our accomplishments in this past year. At the meeting we will take a few moments to speak of those accomplishments and our goals for the year ahead.

Please be sure to bookmark this link http://www.meetup.com/The-Medina-We-Surround-Them/calendar/ and check it frequently. That is where we now put all of our own announcments and many others throughout the area. If you want to attend a patriotic or educational event, it is the first place to look. Currently we see events posted at the Stark 9.12 group (Friday - meet Jim Renacci, candidate for 16th Congressional District), Mansfield (Saturday evening - expert on dangers of H1N1 vaccine), Mansfield (Monday evening - Tea Party Strategy meeting), Lorain (Tuesday - evening meeting in Amherst), and Stark 9.12 group again (Friday - meet Matt Miller, candidate for 16th Congressional District).

The 9/12 March on Washington DC is now history but there is much work to be done. Join us Saturday and Sunday as well celebrate the past year and lay the groundwork for an even more successful year preserving our heritage. We look forward to seeing you!

Gale,
While the FairTax is non-partisan, we also want to make sure that anyone running for office is fully armed with the facts concerning the FairTax, and, hopefully, is a strong supporter. We also want to make sure that all Ohio FairTax supporters are educated as to the position of each candidate on this issue.

We have yet to hear anything from Portman (or any Democrats seeking the nomination) regarding his position on the FairTax, and would welcome the chance to sit down with you/Eric and discuss his position, as well as answer any questions you might have.

I've posted here previously. I am working with Eric Deaton to get him elected to the Senate in the seat being vacated by George Voinovich.
We are supporters of the FairTax. We realize the necessity to break the stranglehold of the 16th Amendment.
It is our contention that the time is now to make a statement to the career politicians in DC. It is time we elect a strong Conservative and Pro-Constitution voice. A voice not hamstrung by partisan politics.
We would like the opportunity to speak with individuals and local, regional or statewide groups to make a case for our platform.
If you would like more information go to www.deatonforsenate.com or email: gale@deatonforsenate.com or info@deatonforsenate.com.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Lisa,
Matt and Jim could be a great blessing for us if elected in the 16th district and Jenette Moll in the 18th District, Thats 2 Seats . Just think, If we were able to get just 5 to 6 congressman in each state that will put us over the Majority votes needed for passage!! I know the supporters in the South west of the State have been working very hard and if they can elect the canidate who supports the fair tax early in the primary Then they can pick up about 3 seats if elected in the General Election. 2010 maybe the year for The Fair Tax here in Ohio.....
Anyone here want to add to this?
