Josh Gregg has been talking with AARP about Social Security, and how the FairTax addresses Social Security funding. If you have a few minutes, please give AARP a call at 1-888-OUR-AARP and let them know that the FairTax, more then any other proposal, frees seniors from the stress of wondering whether their next check will be cancelled due to lack of funds!!

Can't believe I forgot to mention that George Voinovich and Sherrod Brown will also be invited to attend our Town Hall in Marietta -- don't expect to see them here either.

6th District Rep. Charlie Wilson TOLD a constituent last week that he'd be too busy traveling around the district during the recess to attend a Town Hall meeting here in Marietta, but we're going to have one anyway, at the American Legion Hall, 6-9 p.m., either Sept. 1 or 4. Both Wilson and Zack Space will be invited to the panel, along with 3 docs, 2 NFIB members, and 1 attorney who has actually READ the WHOLE bill. I'll keep you posted.

I hope there is a good turnout and "we the people" are allowed to express their opinions. Sherrod Brown is on one of the committees drawing up and approving the health care bill. I have written to him and he let me know "they know what is best for us". That was a paraphrase but he definitely had an elitest attitude. That has been very common in the communications I've had with him and his office.
