There seems to be some confusion about the Westlake event on 2 May. I will be doing the event. I have set up a calendar on the www.ohfairtax.org website to help with our scheduling of events. Please take a look at it and see if anything is missing, or if you have questions regarding a particular event.

I'd like to start using the calendar as a way of group communication about events and presentations so that we avoid confusion and, Heaven forbid, we should miss an opportunity because everyone thought someone else was "doing it".

Thoughts?

Would there be any interest in chartering a bus to the Midwest Fair Tax Rally, June 13th in Columbia, Missouri? Here are the particulars sent by Colin to the DD YAHOO Group earlier this month. If there is any interest we will have to make the plans soon.

Many of you may or may not have heard that their has been a Mid West fairTax Rally in the planning since last October. I am happy to announce the following people that have honored us by being special guest speakers:

- Herman Cain
- Joe Wurzelbacher (aka..Joe the Plumber)

Other guests will include:

- Gary Nolan - Radio talk show host for The Eagle 93.9
- Jim Sumpter - Syndicated Radio Show out of Utah
- Thomas Tabback - Publicist and author of "Things Forgetten" and "Rebellion"

Musical guests The Drifters (yes..The Drifters) and more.....

There will be events and things for the kiddies so bring them along!!!

We have a list of others special guests that have been invited and we are confident that they will attend this great event. This will be as Marilyn Rickert put it, the first FairTax Rally west of the Missippi!!! And, by the response we have been getting, the numbers attending look to be significant. At this time, John Collet and I are expecting anywhere between 4,000 and 10,000 attendees!!! This is wonderful news inthat it shows our legislatures that we the people are demanding action for real tax reform for American Citizens.

I will certainly keep you updated to other confirmed guests as they come in. I do not want to let the cat out of the bag as to who this will be, so stay tuned!!

The even is being held in beutiful Columbia, Missouri on Saterday, June 13th. We have leased the county fairgrounds from 8 am to 10 pm. Speaker schedule is being formed as we speak and may be modified as more special guests confirm their attendance. Columbia is about 1.5 hrs from both the St.Louis and Kansas City airports. We will be putting together a special website with all sorts of necessary information for your travel planning needs. Stay tuned...

I am so excited to pass this on to you! Please start spreading the news and send me counts periodically of folks in your district that plan on attending so that I can plan for parking/traffic control and necessary facilities (restrooms, food, beverages). Please include you State and District number so I can keep it all straight. If you know of anyone who would like to be a guest speaker, let me know and I will try to fit them in the day.

I will certainly keep you updated as more good news unfolds.

Neal Boortz and Rep John Linder have signed on and will be at the Midwest FairTax Rally on June the 13th.

Marilyn R. will be extending an invitation to Micheal Steele as well as DNC Chairman: Gov. Tim Kaine if Michael accepts. It is our desire to make this happen and draw the support from ALL taxpayers to support and demand this, our great cause!!!

For those of you who haven't heard it yet, Kate Bunch did an outstanding job with her FairTax speech at the Dayton Tea Party. Not only was the crowd fired up, I am sure that any politician listening to it is going to think twice before dismissing the FairTax as just another "flash in the pan".

Way to go Kate.
