Did anyone hear Steve Curtis on 55KRC this morning talking with Brian Thomas between 7:30-7:50am? It was a great conversation on the FairTax. There were a few key points left out but time was limited. Let's hope Steve can get on Brian's show on a consistent basis.

Check out the ChicagoTeaParty post on the main page. Do we have some Ohioans ready to step up and start organizing a "tea party"? FairTaxers in large cities, such as Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Cleveland, etc. should be able to get at least a few dozen friends to get the ball rolling.

All it takes is someone to step up and take the lead.

For All Ohio FairTaxers

The FairTax Midwest Region is planning to bring in the Leadership Institute to do a seminar on Grassroots Campaign Organization and Management sometime over the next three months. As some of you may know, the Leadership Institute is a nationally recognized provider of training to Conservative Leaders and Organizations, and is focused on helping grassroots organizations realize their full political potential. As their literature puts it, “For Conservatives who want to win!” They also work with non-partisan organizations such as the FairTax.

Class size is limited to about 50 participants, so each state will only be able to send a handful. If you are interested, please let me know by next Friday. This is not a firm commitment, but rather a “show of hands” so we can get an idea of how many each state wants to send. All other things being equal, the seminar will probably be held in Indiana, and the cost is expected to be nominal (less then $50). Of course, if we have enough interest, a second seminar in a different location may be scheduled.

I plan to attend, and would strongly encourage those District Directors and State level supporters who can to make the trip. However, it is open to anyone with a strong interest in promoting the FairTax.

I recently got an email from Brian Thomas with WKRC in Cincinnati. He indicated that he and his producer (Joe Strecker) were considering a spot on the FairTax.
