This is a relay of a post by Deborah to OHFairTax concerning the upcoming HuckPAC House Party scheduled for 26 February down in Lebanon. I encourage FairTaxers to go for a couple of reasons. First, Huckabee is a consistant supporter of the FairTax and, if elected, is likely to work hard for it's passage. Second, any Huckabee supporters who are not yet FairTaxers would be natural allies and supporters, so the party would be a good opportunity for bridge-building and seeking of opportunities to work together.

More information is available at

There is also another house party in a small town south of Columbus, Amanda. Information is available by going to

then clicking on the Larger View for the map.

Today I filled out the Action Form from the Congress.Org Roll Call Email on SENATE DEBATES $888 BILLION STIMULUS BILL.

I sent the following email or contact form to Pres. Obama, Sen. Sherrod Brown, Sen. George Voinovich, and Rep. Mike Turner. (All I had to do was enter my zip code and it brought up my reps).:

"Please do not sign any Porkulus Bill. It will cost millions of private sector jobs and cause small businesses and law firms to go out of business. If we eliminate the capital gains tax and lower income taxes across the board by 10 percent, that will cause massive economic and job growth and create million of jobs without spending a single penny."

BTW -- I'll invite more people today. I was busy completing my book and Galley Proof 3 is almost completed so I can concentrate on other things.

You may want to hold of on incorporating for the time being. It has turned out to be more complicated than expected. I hope we can discuss this on the OH conferece call.

Thanks,
Marilyn

Steve,

Have you talked to Marilyn about this lately? If not, you should.
Comment by Steve Curtis on January 29, 2009 at 8:13pm
In talking to MI FairTax people, they recommend forming a 501(c)(6) to facilitate fund-raising and lobbying. Does anyone have experience with this organizational structure, or strong experience with 501(c)(4) or 527?

Does anyone have friends, sons, daughters, or some other relationship with student organizations at Ohio universities (OSU, OU, Wright State, UD, etc.) We need to start making inroads into the world of academia, and students, who may soon have to face the IRS with their first job, are an ideal audience to which we can appeal.

Please check "events" I just posted the Fairborn and Cincinnati monthly meetings and the Dayton Mall monthly meeting was there previously. These locations are in Ohio.
