Phil Claypool got this from Bob Martin, State Director Wisconsin FairTax. Made some changes and sent it to our elected officials. It would be a good idea I think if we sent alot out. Sooooo, lets roll!!

Dear Congressman (or Senator) X,

In these times when governments at all levels are seemingly trying to do what they can to help small and large businesses alike create jobs, there is a jobs bill currently in Congress that is receiving much more attention these days. Three more of your colleagues signed on as cosponsors last week including one of the “12” Super Committee members, Representative Jeb Hensarling. Their addition brings the total cosponsors to 67 in the House as well as 9 more on the Senate version of the bill. Nearly all of the Republican Presidential candidates have indicated they support the measure or would at the very least sign it into law if it came to them as President. The bill I refer to is HR-25, The Fair Tax Act of 2011.

The Fair Tax Act eliminates capital gains and corporate taxes allowing for the repatriation of trillions of offshore assets. It significantly lowers the financial burden of complying with our current tax structure bringing compliance for most individuals to nearly zero. In addition the bill provides for a border adjustable tax policy that is compliant with international, OECD standards for taxation. By eliminating the tax on labor that leads to higher prices, it makes our exports cheaper. It also allows domestic producers to operate on a level playing field as it relates to imports. By taxing imports in an equal manner it helps to reduce the “Made in China ” effect. These are all moves that economists from all disciplines agree would lead to real economic stimulus and job creation at no cost and actually savings to the tax payer and no increase in government spending.

If you support a bill to eliminate the income tax, such as HR-462, the Tax Code Termination Act. That particular legislation calls for a low rate, tax relief for working Americans, protections for the rights of tax payers, reduced tax collection abuses, elimination of the bias against savings and investment, promoting economic growth and job creation and not penalizing marriage or families. The Fair Tax Act succeeds in accomplishing all of that.

As our debt continues to move to dire levels and the economy and job formation continue to remain flat or recede even further, I hope you will think about cosponsoring the Fair Tax Act of 2011 to help get our economy going again. Please feel free to stop by Rep. Rob Woodall’s office and I am sure they will be able to assist you.

Sincerely,

Next meeting for Fairborn FairTax will be on October 19th. It will be at Roush's Restaurant located at 305 W. Main St. And it will Start at 6:30 and end at 8:00. I would like to work on getting some letters to the editor written and sent into several area papers. I will endeavor to write some examples to pass out, and have e-mail addresses. We have made tremendous strides for the FairTax recently. Lets keep the work up and save the future for our kids and beyond.

We had our weekly column in the Fairborn Daily Herald. The topic this week was the FairTax and its effect on health care. As I stated at the meeting, I'd really appreciate people calling the paper or writing letters to the editor so that they see this issue draws people to the paper.

Its been a really busy week. looking forward to a break next week. Have a great weekend.

Our FairTax meeting in Fairborn went really well tonight. We had over 30 people come out and listen to a presentation by Herman Cain's Ohio Campaign Director. We learned a little more about Herman's 999 plan, discussed some of his other stands, and had some really good questions on the FairTax. Some of our guests included a Fairborn councilman, a Beavercreek Young Conservative president and a long time Republican party leader. Now we just need to share all the knowledge we amass with others.

Great guest column in todays Fairborn Daily Herald. Steve Curtis continues to hit home runs with these columns. Todays column; "FairTax: Security, not fear, for seniors". A must read and must share for all FairTaxers.

Okay folks, Herman is good to go. I just didn't understand what was up until I heard him and Neal Boortz talking about it on Neal's show. And Walt wrote me and let me know he had previously presented it and I missed it. Silly me!!

Not very happy with the debate tonight as Herman Cain came out with a  "999" tax reform plan? What the heck is that and what happened to the FairTax??? I had hopes that some other candidate would step up and mention the FairTax, but no such luck. Lets let these guys know we want the FairTax.

Hi All. I have been offline for a week now because I made a change in my internet service that didn't go as I had planned. But I am back now. I am also trying to rebuild my e-mail list. Its been wild, let me tell you. I have a new phone number and e-mail address. if you want my imfo, just let me know. Looking forward to a great meeting the third Wednesday of this month.

Any idea how the Dayton group meeting went? Wanted to get there, but I missed it. And did they still do the "flash event"?

Come to the TPX wearing your Fair Tax Shirts!

Greetings,

In the past year many of us have been very focused on political action; winnning the 2010 election, working closely with our "freshmen" legislators to prevent them from falling into the "inside the beltway" mentality of establishment politicians, and getting the Healthcare Freedom Amendment on the ballot.  We have accomplished much.  But as a movement, our power will wane if we do not constantly bring in new people.  We must constantly be recruiting, and building our ranks.

The Tea Party Express event this coming Saturday, September 3 in Avon, Ohio is an ideal event for all patriots to reach out to their friends and neighbors who may have never before participated in a "Tea Party" event, to come see what it is all about.  They won't be disappointed and it may inspire them to join us.

The event is co-hosted by a number of patriotic groups in Northeast Ohio at the All Pro Freight Stadium in Avon.  Right off I-90, it is easy to find.  The event offers free admission, free parking, free entertainment and good food at a good price.  There will be plenty of vendors of patriotic items and plenty of patriotic groups manning tables at which the public can learn more about them.  The stadium itself is not your typical inner-city stadium.  It is a nice place.  And the program will be unforgettable.

Check out the flyer, two-up flyer, and backgrounder on the Fifth National Tour of the Tea Party Express.  These are materials you can use to post on bulleting boards or to interest your friends and neighbors in attending the Tea Party Express.

This is a great opportunity to build our numbers.  Bring a car full and have fun!

In God We Trust,
