Did you hear the news? The democrats will spend more money in the 13th Congressional District to re-elect their incumbent, than in any other district in the nation. The 16th Congressional District, just south of the 13th, will be 8th in spending. We are dead-center of the battle for the future of America.

Your help is needed and it is needed now. With the kind of money that the democrats, the unions and the radical groups are pouring into Ohio to fill our mailboxes, radio waves and television screens with outrageous distortions aimed at assassinating the character of their opponents, we need to respond in the most effective way we can … by reaching out and communicating with other voters.

Our Liberty Headquarters has a 12 station phone bank and we need to keep it filled with volunteers right through election day. Our “scripts” are our own; friendly, no pressure, intended to increase the likelihood of voters to vote, and to help them do so. Our targeted lists are “low intensity” Republicans and Independent voters who will vote for the right people, but often don’t turn out in mid-term elections. We need to get them to go to the polls, and vote.

If you can spare an hour or two between now and the election, call us now at 330-952-0021 or email lisawoods@mcfan.org, and get on the schedule. We are conveniently located two blocks north of the 1st intersection east of I-71 on State Route 18.

We are also working hard to organize neighborhood walks in Ashland, Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, Stark, Summit and Wayne counties. If you can help with that, especially outside Medina County, let us know.

Went to the Dayton TEA Party on Oct. 14. It was fantastic. We had several people there in FairTax garb and we passed out a lot of cards to a crowd estimated to be 3,000. Got some pictures of our FairTax friends there and will figure out how to post them.

You are cordially invited to join us tomorrow, Tuesday October 12. We will be hosting a Meet & Greet for Robert Owens, Candidate for Ohio Attorney General, at our Liberty Headquarters in Medina from 6:30 until 9 PM. Robert Owens is the most Pro Life, Christian, Conservative Candidate in the Ohio AG race. We believe that he is the only candidate who will actively oppose Obamacare while also steadfastly upholding the 2nd Amendment. Refreshments provided (pizza/wings, soft drinks,) yard signs and campaign literature is available here as well.

I have copied the following information for your information. Lisa says there are plenty of phone banks and FairTax has been invited to use her lines for our information. Please check with Steve Curtis as to the script for such calls. Ohio needs your help to make the following calls.

------------
Greetings,

The weather is not favorable for door-to-door canvassing this weekend, but it is great for phone banking. We will be open from 1-9 tomorrow, although some of us will want to go to Cornerstone Chapel tomorrow (Sunday) night from 6-7:30 to hear Chris Long from the Ohio Christian Alliance.

The phone lists and scripts have been loaded, and indications are that with the automatic dialling now working, we can cycle through about 100 phone calls per hour. That's fast.

The current strategy is focused upon contacting "low intensity" Tier 3-5 voters who often sit out mid-term elections, and increasing their likelihood to turn out. Right now Ganley needs our help the most, so we are focused upon the 13th CD with the population centers of Summit & Lorain county first, followed by Medina & Cuyahoga. After we cover those, we can switch to Renacci in the 16th.

Our scripts are friendly, non-partisan and non-pushy. If people let us know that they strongly favor the conservative candidates and want to help, we help them get absentee ballot requests, yard signs, put them on the email distro of the Tea Party/912 group for their county, or whatever else we can do to help. We don't leave messages at this time (too much like robocalls); instead we mark the call as "not home" and the phone number cycles through again later until we make personal contact. Training only takes about 5 minutes and in another 5 minutes
it feels as natural as calling a neighbor.

We have complete control over the scripts and the phone lists we use. If someone wants to focus on Tier 1 & 2 voters in any area to compile a list of people who want a yard sign, that can be done too.

Coffee, doughnuts and refreshments are "On the House" tomorrow, so let's have fun while we make a difference.

We look forward to seeing you!

We have received 2000 yard signs from American Majority Action, and will issue them on a first-come, first-served basis from our Liberty Headquarters. They are Red on White slipovers with the frames. The heading on all of them is "Taxpayers For" and the candidates are half Portman & Ganley, and the other half of them are Portman & Renacci. All have the AMA logo on them and are clearly not from a political party.

We also have about 10,000 palm cards from American Majority Action, half for Portman & Ganley, half for Portman & Renacci. Again, they are clearly not from a political party and therefore do not portray canvassers as representing a political party.

Maps to our headquarters are available at http://mcfan.org/Headquarters.aspx. Going east on SR-18 from I-71, take the first left (north, sign says Gateway Road instead of Gateway Drive) and go about 2 blocks; we're the 2nd office building on the left, where all the campaign signs are.

Greetings,

As you may know, we have a 12 seat phone bank at our Liberty Headquarters and it is now open from 1-9 PM daily, Monday thru Sunday up through the election. This facility is not just for the use of Medina County; it was provided by American Majority Action for the use of everyone in the 13th & 16th Congressional Districts. There is no sense letting these resources go to waste. Unless and until all 12 stations are fully scheduled for volunteers from the 13th & 16th CD's, we will make them available to every group in Northern Ohio for other CD's (e.g., the 18th), as well.

You are cordially invited to organize a "phone banking party" for your organization, at our Liberty Headquarters. Please contact us at 330-952-0021 to get your team on our phone bank schedule. We suggest a minimum 2 hour stint on the phones, and preferably a 4 hour stint if you are carpooling from more than an hour away. We have sample scripts available (or you can develop your own). Our phone lists are all in the 13th & 16th CD, so you will need to provide your own if you are in a different CD. That's the bad news. The good news is that we have a couple of terabytes of storage for data on our wireless LAN, and our color laser-jet printer can print a case of paper a day. We have the resources, if you can organize their use.

We are very interested in identifying people who are organizing door-to-door canvassing efforts, particularly in Ashland, Cuyahoga, Lorain, Stark, Summit and Wayne counties, so that we can help supply resources and coordinate efforts. In addition to keeping a supply of candidate yard signs in stock, we have 1,000 yard signs from American Majority Action for Portman/Ganley and Portman/Renacci, and probably at least 3,000 palm cards for Portman/Ganley and Portman/Renacci also from American Majority Action. Naturally, we have precinct walking lists for all these counties. If you are organizing door-to-door canvassing, please call 330-952-0021 to let us know, especially if there is a way we can support your efforts.

Our headquarters are off of I-71 and east on SR-18 about a block east turn left (north - the road sign says Gateway Road instead of Gateway Drive) We are the second office building on the left (see all the signs out front!). Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Jim & Lisa Woods

Sorry this is old, but I just found it:

E-BULLETIN: TUESDAY, AUGUST 10, 2010

By every reasonable standard the “stimulus” has failed, but Washington Democrats continue to double-down, piling more and more debt on the backs of our children and grandchildren. This week House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has rushed lawmakers back to Washington to vote on a spending bill filled with payoffs for union bosses and billions more in “stimulus” spending – a bill that was thrown together so quickly and carelessly that they didn’t name it. CNET reports:

"It was supposed to be some routine election-year largesse from Democrats: a $26 billion spending measure to aid two of the party’s core constituencies, labor unions, and government workers.

But a watchdog Web site on Sunday evening spotted an unusual feature of the legislation, which the Senate approved by a 61-to-39 vote last week.

It doesn’t actually have a name. Congress’ official Web site calls it the ‘______Act of____.’ Elsewhere, it’s referred to as the ‘XXXXXX Act of XXXX.’?"

I continue to hear from Eighth District constituents who’re fed up with the out-of-control spending and mismanagement of government in Washington. That’s why I’m leading House Republicans in an effort to change the way Congress operates, while offering better solutions to cut government spending immediately and help small businesses create new jobs. Also in this week’s E-Bulletin you’ll find the times and locations for my weekly “Open Door” program, as well as the latest on the grassroots’ efforts to repeal ObamaCare. Please continue to keep me updated on the issues that concern you.

Sincerely,

John Boehner
