I took this from Letters to the Editor:

"In another development highlighting the need for the Fair Tax, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, a Democrat from Ohio, excoriated the Treasury Department last week for failing to adequately trace banks’ use of taxpayer bailout money. The criticism included a $8 billion Citigroup Inc. loan to Dubai, a $7 billion Bank of America investment in China Construction Bank Corp., and a $1 billion investment in India by J.P. Morgan. Although the transactions are not illegal, Kucinich criticized the channeling of taxpayer money to foreign governments rather than the domestic economy."

Deborah,
You could do a Fair Tax Logo on one side and a protest statement on the other side. I made my signs on 1/4" foam core board and used acrylic paints. It was water proof, easy to hold and it did not bend in the wind. Mine are still good and I will be able to use them again. I bought my foam core poster boards at Staples.

Pray for warm, nice weather on April 15 for the Dayton Tea Party at Court House Square. Will be fun! I'm thinking of a poster to create.

Petition to Demand State and Local Elected Officials NOT accept bailout, stimulus or earmark funds
We the undersigned demand that our state and local elected officials REJECT the various bailout funds, stimulus funds, and earmarks enacted by Congress. We believe that while some of these projects are worthwhile, they should be funded at the local level. We believe that these funds are designed to unconstitutionally aggregate power at the federal level at the expense of the states.

Dave, don't mind at all. Shining a bright light on local, state and federal earmarks is a great way to promote the FairTax, in my opinion. And when the people in Greene County finally learn where their tax dollars are being spent, it's likely the sweetheart deal between lobbyist PMA, the Dayton Development Coalition and Hobson and Austria will send a few politicians packing for good.

Mitch I added the video in a discussion on this group. Hope you didn't mind.

Thanks to Andy Meyers I attended a meeting with a John Boehner staffer and 10 others. Mentioned the FairTax at least three times as a solution to our economic and other woes. Nick assured me he'd get back to the group on why Boehner or any other Ohio congressman has not sponsored H.R. 25. Also, I've got a YouTube video (about 2 1/2 minutes), and I'd like help in posting it to FairTax Nation. Here's the link:

If you're interested, please copy, paste and take a look. Hope you all had a happy St. Patrick's Day. Cheers, Mitch

I copied this from another site. I did hear the presentation and it was great. Hopefully the next time we can get more of our Congress Persons to support Rep Steve King and John Linder. Billie in Beavercreek

"The Special Order of Congress today, organized by Rep King, went very well! The speakers in order of their appearance were:

Cliff Stearns FL-06 202-225-5744 (before the main FairTax session)

Steve King IA-05 202-225-4426 (multiple times)

Nathan Deal GA-09 202-225-5211

Jeff Miller FL-01 202-225-4136

John Mica FL-07 202-225-4035

John Linder GA-07 202-225-4272

John Duncan TN-02 202-225-5435

Phil Gingrey GA-11 202-225-2931

Henry Brown SC-01 202-225-3176

Paul Broun GA-10 202-225-4101

Be sure to thank these Congressmen for speaking out and make it clear to other co-sponsors you want them do the same. We hope to see many more of these with Democrats joining in as well.

Thanks for pushing to make this day possible!"
