That is soooo exciting to hear what you are doing to educate people about the FairTax. I wrote an e-mail to talk show host Lars Larson about the FairTax and he has read the book and is not for it...no specifics. Time to get specifics and educate him!!!

I was snowboarding on White Pass Thursday and Friday wearing a FairTax shirt over by coat. I asked someone to take a video as I came down the mountain, but he didn't see me until I was at the bottom. At least one person asked "what is a FariTax.org?" but I was just getting on the chair and did not get a chance to talk to him other than say it is a replacement for the income tax.

I did hand out a couple of disk, and talked to one person that says he doesn't pay any income tax because he is always loosing money. (at lease since 1999) He is always building something and taking some great deduction. This example goes to show why our current system is flawed.

Dangerous spending

The reports from Washington, D.C., are very disturbing these days. It seems we have a bunch of idiots back there acting like an army of 5-year-olds in a large candy store. The Democrats must be very proud of their party with that spending frenzy going on with dollars they don’t have. You can bet your boots President Obama knows exactly what he is doing. He has seen countries in Africa fail and end up in a dictatorship. Countries that spend money like this stimulus plan end up in insolvency with no place to go but massive inflation. This is the cruelest tax of all. Your hundred-dollar bill will be worth a penny.

We have seen people in those small countries take a wheelbarrow full of paper money to the store for a loaf of bread. Well, Democrats, you are in the driver’s seat now and once you get through slobbering over President Obama, maybe you will do something to save our free country.

My suggestion is: Abandon the stimulus plan, abolish the capital gains tax, and next cancel the estate tax. Then, repeal the 16th Amendment and close out the IRS. Then, install the fair tax or a national sales tax. Then you will see prosperity soar. I guarantee it.

Hello everyone!! This is a letter to the editor from a FairTax Supporter in Rch. Maybe you can use it as a model for YOUR letter to the editor. HERE is the Letters to the Editor challenge....we are only allowed to write ONE letter per month...PER PERSON...so in order to keep the FairTax legislation in front of the people at least 3x a week we need to have 21 people willing to write letters.

Let the writing begin!!

Way to go JJ...I hope it inspires us all to jot down some words regarding such an important issue! REMEMBER we can also "reply" to letters to the editor....WHAT IF the newspaper is bombarded by letters to the editor regarding the FairTax legislation....maybe we'll make the FairTax legislation get to the FRONT Page...

Need for tax reform
Tim Geithner, Tom Daschle and Nancy Kellefer's tax problems serve to highlight the need to simplify the tax code.

The current 67,000 pages of the tax code is difficult for even the experts to understand and is constantly changing. Your representatives in Washington, D.C., are always making changes to persuade you to vote for them by passing the tax burden on to the "other guy" and giving "you" a special tax break.

U.S. House (HR 25) "The Fair Tax Act of 2009" eliminates the complicated tax code and replaces it with something that is simple, fair, voluntary, transparent, border neutral and industry neutral. This plan replaces the entire "income" tax system with a "consumption" tax. It supports the Social Security and Medicare systems that are deducted from your paycheck with something that will be sustainable for future generations.

I encourage you to e-mail your congressmen and senators and tell them to support the Fair Tax Act of 2009, which will do more to stimulate the economy than any government spending might do.
