The Fair Tax (my way of explaining it to friends)

The current infrastructure to our economy is too complex, outdated, and unfair to all of this great nations citizens. The main cause of this economic collapse (downfall is to mild a word) is the current structure and usage of taxes (the IRS) in this nation. The main function of our taxes is to fund the federal government, the last thing it should be used for is to extend the arm of the US Government into the personal lives and private sector businesses of its citizens. Our tax code is to complex… Continue

As I mentioned earlier, many of us first learned about the FairTax listening to nationally-syndicated talk show host Neal Boortz or by reading one of the best-selling books that he and Congressman John… Continue

23% Tomato or 30% Tomato

Question: I did some math. We believe that there is an embedded cost of 22% in the cost of everything that we buy. That means that by enacting the fair tax a $100 item would cost around $78. A Sales tax rate of 23% of that 78$ would leave the final price at $95.94. Thats a $4.06 drop in price even with the fair tax. Am I wrong?

This is an example used to explain the 23% tomato or 30% tomato. I did the math and here is the controversy. If you divide 77 dollars by 23 you get a round… Continue

DECAF'S RANTS AND RAVES:

Debt = Servitude Why else would they pass such massive entitlement and debt laden programs to indebt our grandchildren and great children. It appears that generations in debt are generations in servitude.

Servitude = Slavery We will all be bound in the chains of economic slavery unless we return to the roots of our Founding Fathers.

Embedded Taxes, this concept is key!

FairTax~ the concept of embedded taxes is very important to understanding the fairtax. This is where we lose lots of people, so let's see if a simple explanation can win them back.

It's very simple if a toaster costs $100 before the fairtax it will costs $100 after the fairtax is implemented. Currently their is a 22% embedded fed tax on everything you purchase. Consisting of taxes on materials, tax burden of employees that make the products and Corporate taxes paid out by the… Continue

FairTax, How it can Empower You?

FairTax is a revolutionary change in the relationship between government and its citizenry! Currently American citizens are represented by congress, but not before our amazing elected representatives take care of the K-Street lobbyists.

Lobbyists exists for one reason, to represent their companies or individual concerns and try and take advantage of available tax loopholes. In all honesty, who can blame companies for sending lobbyists to DC to try and protect as much of their capital… Continue

How Easy is it to Fix this Economy?

How easy is it to fix this economy? I would suggest that it's simple but the answer is not a freindly one in the eyes of the entrenched beaurocrats.

1st step, eliminate all Corp taxes. Understand businesses don't pay taxes, they are merely collectors for the state. A tax levied on a business will show up as a tax to the consumer in the form of higher priced goods. Elimination of these taxes would drive down the real costs of all purchased goods and services.

Eliminate all… Continue

Absurd Economics

Absurd Economics

Our basic fiscal policy is absurd and should be scrapped. Largely devised seventy to a hundred years ago, it is hopelessly antiquated and is ill suited to our present highly automated global environment. Most all of our taxes and often healthcare are embedded in the prices that must be charged for things produced by American firms and American labor. This hinders our ability to fund needed programs and makes us less competitive globally.

To have… Continue

Get Out Of Our House: Revolution!

FairTaxers! Finally there is a viable plan to get the FairTax done. “Texan” Tim Cox, M.B.A., has written a new book, “Get Out Of Our House: Revolution! A New Plan for Selecting Representatives”. The acronym for the book and organization is GOOOH pronounced, “GO!”. GOOOH is a plan to unseat all existing members of the U.S. House of Representatives and replace them with sponsored grassroots conservative candidates. I believe the plan can work. Please visit www.goooh.com now to see what it is all… Continue

The FairTax at The Asheville TEA Party

The FairTax had a great day at the TEA Party! We collected over $250 in donations for more supplies and just as many new signatures of support. I will be adding all these new names to our email list which brings us to 1000 people in WNC District 11 who support the FairTax! That should have some power with Heath Shuler who I will be inviting to sit down and talk with us again soon. Thank you so much to all those who chose to spend their July 4th afternoon volunteering to work for the… Continue

Enumerated Powers

Enumerated Powers

Article 1 Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution spells out the powers that were delegated to the Federal Government. These are known as the Enumerated Powers. The Tenth Amendment to the Bill of Rights reiterates this by retaining all powers not vested in the Federal Government to the States and the people respectively.

The first thing you need to decide for yourself is whether the representatives from the states that created and ratified the Constitution and… Continue
