There's Your Problem With Government: Too Much Jockey, Not Enough Horse

It doesn’t matter whether the jockey is holding the whip in his Left hand or his Right; the problem is that he weighs over 600 pounds – that is the ratio of government spending in our $1.4 trillion thoroughbred economy. And we wonder why we are losing the race for global competitiveness.

Each new tax is one less bag of oats…

What if our FairTax had a Trigger Clause in it

I am forecasting a little.. but to foreseeing an economy similar to our current one under the FairTax... and with No Way to bring back an income tax... a trigger tax to protect lower wage workers in a bad economy could be created...

I have designed a post card sized document for us to review and comment on... this idea is really "true blue" and don't forget to order the Get on Board the FairTax Train T-shirt… Continue

I've been away but now I'm back!

It's hard to believe I haven't posted anything here for a year. I've been getting my new career in real estate going and it's been uphill, and I've been posting a lot on Facebook. I hope I can devote a few hours a week to FairtaxNation again. I'm sure I won't have the time I did have, but it's nice to back in the Nation where my passion is shared by so many! I'm looking forward to interacting with my Fairtax Buds again!

Fairtax needs better promotion

They need to create a CD or DVD that introduces the fairtax to everyone, and spread them around like a virus in everyones mailbox like the old AOL discs. I've heard of the fairtax for years but never really understood what it was about until I saw Neal Boortz on Stossel. If They took His fairtax book and put it in a shortened version on a CD or DVD for everyone to get a copy of it, we the people will take back our… Continue

Liberals/Progressives for the Fair Tax?

Yes! There is at least one liberal who is in favor of the Fair Tax, and that's me.

I think that a greater effort needs to be made to try and sell the Fair Tax in a manner that will be more appealing to progressives if it's ever going to get passed. I understand that the message of the bill's non-partisan nature is out there, but it seems the perception of the bill is too linked with right wing conservative philosophy. We've got to make more of an effort to get some…

Great one"ish" liners....

Alan Greenspan and Milton Friedman have both clearly uttered the expression, "Only people
pay taxes."
That, of course, means exactly as it says and that corporations, capital,
real estate, and businesses in general, do not pay taxes - they are not "people".

Fairtax saves around 1.3 trillion every Presidential term

A three to four percent unemployment rate is considered full employment because people are moving between jobs, finishing one and moving to another. How are government employees enjoying a three to four percent full employment as shown at the link below at a time when private sector workers are losing homes and sacrificing, cutting back and their family's are doing without?…

Senate Votes NO on VAT-Value Added Tax Amendment

While the Obama administration is running up it's flag pole and testing the waters on the VAT-Value Added Tax, the Senate votes on a non-binding amendment to send a message to the administration and the American people as a legislative body, it thinks the VAT-Value Added Tax is a bad idea and will only further hurt our economy.

The VAT Tax adds taxes on our current broken tax system and does nothing to correct it but lines the pockets of the government with more to spend. The word… Continue

Happy Endings

As many of you have heard, we have decided to end our Congressional campaign. Tim, Not Tammy will missing the Tim part.

There is not a great news story here; no juicy sex scandal, no heroic fight against a deadly disease, no backroom deal brokered by secret world government billionaire bankers.

We are ending the race…

We Need To Make Tax Plans A MAJOR Campaign Issue This Election Cycle!

We have got to get Fair Tax supporters ACTIVELY pressuring candidates to go on record with what type of tax reform THEY support. It will not do us any good to fill the Congress with the 'other' party that wants to hold the power in DC. We need pro-active directors and coordinators paying attention to debate, townhall, meet and greet, and fundraising dinner schedules of these candidates and organizing a presence at these events wherein we can continue to press them on the issue of tax…

Sign Huckabee's Petition for the FairTax!

(Follow the link at the bottom)

Tax Day is rapidly approaching. As Americans prepare to give an unfair and growing amount of their paychecks to the Federal Government, our mission is clearer now more than ever:

Folks, it is time we put the IRS out of business.

Together we can accomplish this goal if we work hard to elect a record number of candidates to Congress this November who support the Fair Tax or who are willing to learn more about it.

But before I…

How the FairTax pertains to rental property.

How the FairTax pertains to rental property.

The consumption of residential housing services is taxable. In renter-occupied housing the tax is collected on a monthly basis and in owner-occupied housing, the tax is collected up front when the home is purchased for the first time.

The landlord is a seller of housing services. He/she must register with the state sales tax collection agency and file sales tax reports (probably quarterly for a person who owns…

National Sales Tax: VAT vs FairTax

FairTaxers:

Yes, the press and politicians will probably refer to a VAT (Value-Added Tax) as a national sales tax, so it is important for FairTax supporters to understand the differences between the two so that we can answer questions from the public.

Actually, they have much in common, but the differences are critical.

Both tax final consumption only once.

They have the exact same tax base, if they both have no exemptions.

Business to business…
