First, let me say that I have a lot of respect for Dr. May. He has a long and lustrous career behind him and has apparently done well for himself. But I disagree with his assessments on this issue and I intend to point out just where I disagree and why. I hope Dr. May gets a chance to read and respond to this, but if the more likely case…

FairTax Splinter Groups can be found just about everywhere; on the internet and in your local communities. Facebook is the primary culprit with ~50 different pages dedicated to the FairTax, dozens of people who have created FairTax related accounts that violate Facebook's Terms of Service, and a couple dozen FairTax Groups (not to be confused with pages). There are also many FairTax groups I've found on LinkedIn, Meetup, and various websites scattered around the internet.
The…

It won't take much, really. There are currently fewer than 10,000 members on FairTax Nation (FTN); I'm estimating about 10% of them are active within any given month. If we all pool our own resources, each of us can do our own little part to help FTN grow.
For those of you who have little time but still want to contribute, an idea to help FTN grow would be to show up for 2 minutes once or twice per week and share your "My Page" either on Twitter or Facebook. If your friends see that…

Dear Dick and committee,
Thanks for all you do. I know I can learn a lot from all of you and am thankful for the opportunity to do something other than complain about modern politics. I will do my best to be available for the committee meetings as they are scheduled. (Appreciate your reminders) I downloaded the 2010 platform from the GOP website and read it Tuesday night in preparation for the Wednesday night meeting. I was actually very impressed with it as it is. The only thing I…

Do you know that the popular vote is not what counts? A candidate needs about 1200 delegates to win the nomination. So far, Ron Paul has 9, Romney has about 28. There is Some where around 2500, delegates. Most states decide delegates some what by the popular vote, but there are two states like Florida that the winner takes all. Except for those mentioned above, those delegates are all up for grabs. None of the other candidates are registered in enough states to be in a position to get…

There is no better way to enjoy performing duties in the office than the use of a fast computer. It becomes easy to locate files and sort them. If you are looking for a vital file, you will find it within a short time. This will also reflect on your performance of your duties. The fact remains not all this is possible if you do not have a fast computer. You need to empower your PC and make it as good as new. Luckily, there are new programs and software you can include in your PC and make it…

Freedom is difficult, but it is not complicated. Either you wish to make your own choices in life (freedom) or you wish to let others make them for you (government).
Ron Paul likes to say “freedom is popular” and he is right, when it comes to our own freedom; none of us wants someone else to spend our money and tell us what to do. That’s not complicated. It is when we think about extending that same courtesy to those who spend their money in ways we find offensive (buy drugs, for…

Among the many ways the fairtax beings fairness to taxation is it introduces fair trade to free trade. Currently over 98% of everything that is imported into this country comes from a country that has a border adjustment in their tax code.
China reimburses their exporters up to 17% of the cost of their products to remove the cost of their VAT from their exports while charging the same 17% to imports. Mexico does the same with a 16% VAT, Canada with a 13% goods and service tax,…

This is definately a group that the FairTax should contact and try to influence. We already know the FairTax is the answer not only for the American citizen, but for American business as well.
How do we best go about this? Your input is desired.

Everybody has an opinion about trade with China, and here is mine: let’s trade ‘em Ben Bernanke for Fu Ying. Throw in a minor league pitcher if we have to – President Obama comes immediately to mind.
Fu Ying is China’s Vice Foreign Minister, who Friday announced that China would not use its foreign exchange reserves (i.e. dollars) to rescue other countries (i.e. Europe). She explained that “foreign reserves are akin to savings” and not to be squandered by governments.…
